The Warehouse Location tool is an invaluable asset for efficiently managing inventory across various storage areas, from racks to bins.
Central to effective warehouse management is establishing a consistent naming convention for locations throughout the facility. Typically, this convention adheres to the format: Rack-Shelf-Bin.
Racks, sometimes referred to as bays, are the primary shelving units. Shelves denote different levels within a rack, while bins pinpoint specific positions on a shelf where items are stored physically.
For instance, considering the example above, the highlighted item's location would be designated as Rack 03, Shelf B, Bin 03.
In order to use the Warehouse Location feature, you must first have a Warehouse Map in your Britecheck Inventory. Follow these steps to establish it:
- Login to your Britecheck account;

Choose your preferred method to develop the Warehouse Map:
- from the Dashboard menu: Access the Dashboard section, then click on the Edit Warehouse Layout button.
- from the Warehouses menu: Navigate to the Warehouses section, then click on the Edit Warehouse button (depicted by the Pencil icon).

Go down to the Warehouse Map section and click on the + Add Rack button to create a new rack.
Input the Rack Label and click Save.

To add shelves to the newly created rack Click on + Add Shelf.
Then enter the Shelf Label and click Save.

To add bins to the newly created Shelf click on + Add Shelf button;
Then fill the Bin Label box and click Save button;
Repeat these steps to replicate your physical warehouse storage system accurately.
By following these straightforward instructions, you can seamlessly implement a Warehouse Map in your Britecheck Inventory, ensuring efficient management of your inventory locations.
